Merine Adamia graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory of Music in 1983 majoring in composition and theory. In 1998, she received Doctoral degree (PhD) in music from the University of Edinburgh (UK). PhD thesis on portfolio composition. Taught at the School of Music of the University of Edinburgh between 1992 and2006. Is the author of various genres and scales of work. Her music is performed in Europe and Georgia. Is owner of the Scottish Creative Award. HAs worked at the Ilia State University since 2008, where she founded and is currently directing Center for Music.
