Natia Bakhtadze graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Architecture and Art History and Theory of Art History in 1996; she continued her studies at University of Cologne in Germany majoring in Art History during 1998-2003. Defended her thesis in Art History at University of Cologne in 2008 on “Relations of garbage, art and life in the works of Ilia Kabakov”. She was engaged in practical work in various galleries of Cologne, the Ludwig Museum, and in the central archive of arts during 2000-2006. Has worked at Ilia State University since 2010. Has worked as a visiting teacher during 2010-2011 specializing in art history at the School of Arts and Sciences. During 2011-2012 worked as an Assistant Professor of Art History at the ISU at the School of Arts and Sciences. Has been assistant professor of art history at the School of Natural Sciences and Engineering since 2012.
