Teimuraz  Jojua was born on 19 October, 1972 in Tbilisi.
In 1978-89 he studied at 160th High School of Tbilisi, in 1990-1993 – at Juridical Faculty of Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (a part-time student); in 1993-1996 – at the Faculty of History and Secondary Faculty of Journalism of the same University; in 1996-1999 was a postgraduate student at Iv. Javakhishvili Institute of History and Ethnography, and in 2008-2009 – a Doctorate student of Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
In 2012 he defended a doctoral thesis and was granted an academic title of the Doctor in History.
Since 2000 T. Jojua has been working at Iv. Javakhishvili Institute of History and Ethnology, Korneli Kekelidze Georgian National Center of Manuscripts, and Apolon Kutateladze Tbilisi Academy of Art, occupying different pedagogical and administrative posts.
Since 2013 he is an Associated Professor at Ilia State University, Branch of History (source Studies and Epigraphy).
T. Jojua is married. Wife, Shorena Anjaparidze works at Public Relations Department, the Georgian Ministry of Justice, in a position of a Head of the Department. Son, Luka Jojua is the 10th year student at International Georgian School (IGS).
In 1992-1993 T. Jojua participated in military operations going under way in Apkhazeti region as a member of an Intelligence Regiment “Orbi” under the 1st Brigade of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.
In 1994-2000 T. Jojua was a teacher-volunteer at the House of Homeless Children at Dzegvi.
