Teimuraz Zaqarashvili has got M.S. with honor in Physics from Tbilisi State University (faculty of Physics ) in 1991. In 1997 he depended PhD thesis in Abasumani Astrophysical observatory. Since 1995 he works at the observatory as scientist, senior scientist and now as main scientist. In 2004 he has received Doctor of Science in physics and mathematics in Abasumani Astrophysical observatory. He has been working in University of St Andrews (UK: 2001-2002), in University of Balearic Islands (Spain: 2005-2006) and in Space Research Institute (Graz, Austria: 2009-2015). During 2000-2004 and 2007-2008 he was visiting University of Balearic Islands as visiting professor. Now he works in University of Graz (Austria). In 1998-2000 he had Research Stipend of President of Georgia as outstanding young PhD and in 2005-2006 as outstanding young Doctor of Science. In 2017 he was awarded by the prize of best scientific group leader in Georgia. Since 2008 he is at Ilia State University as assistant professor, since 2010 as associate professor and since 2018 as full professor. He is cofounder of Space Research Center in the university. His main research areas are solar physics, space plasma physics and astrophysics. He has almost two hundred scientific publications, more than hundred in referred international journals.
