Worked at Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory as the researcher, 1988-2008. Defended thesis in cometary astrophysics (Georgian academy of sciences, 1998). The scientific degree – PhD. Worked at James Cook University, Australia (adjunct associate professor), 2009-2014. Since 2008 works at Ilia State University, associate professor. Main activity in the university is research in cometary astrophysics; circumstellar matters physics and chemistry; ancient astronomy. Head of PhD programs (Molecular astrophysics and Archaeoastronomy). Full member of American Astronomical Society.
