Nino Chiabrishvili

Nino Chiabrishvili is an Associate Professor at Ilia State University, where she teaches theoretical and practical courses in intercultural education and social sciences teaching methods.

In 1999, she defended her PhD dissertation on “The Content and Organization of Economic Education in Primary Grades” (based on the 6th grade example).

She is the author/co-author of more than 30 scientific articles and textbooks.

From 2012-2016, she served as the local coordinator for the TEMPUS project “Development of an International Model for Curricular Reform in Multicultural Education and Cultural Diversity Teaching” (N 530175-TEMPUS-1-2012-1-IL-TEMPUS-JPGR). During 2015-2016, she was the local coordinator for the ERASMUS+ project “Development of Programs to Enhance Access to Higher Education for Vulnerable Groups and Regions” (N 561547–EPP-1-2015-1-IL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP). From 2014-2017, she was a researcher in the fundamental research project funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation titled “Intercultural Education: Problems, Their Analysis and Development Perspectives in Georgia” (FR/382/2-210/13). Between 2019-2022, she worked as a researcher on the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation’s fundamental research project #FR-18-1887 “Democratic Citizenship in Georgian General Education Schools: Challenges and Development Paths.” For 2024-2027, she is a researcher within the ERASMUS+ project “Curriculum Reform to Support Peace Education in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova” 101128854 – PeaceEdu – ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE.

Nino Chiabrishvili has participated in numerous international and national conferences and workshops dedicated to educational issues.
