Irina Lortkipanidze graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili State University Faculty of Philology (Russian Language and Literature) in 1986. Worked at Georgian Polytechnic University during 1986-1999 and at Tbilisi Ilia Chavchavadze State University of Languages and Culture during 1999-2006. Defended her PhD dissertation on “Linguistic Representation of Concepts of Good and Evil in Russian Phraseology” in 2006. Has been an Associate Professor at Ilia State University since 2011. Worked at the Ilia State University Language Centre and as an assistant to the Director of the Ilia State University English Centre. Irina Lortkipanidze is the author of several books focusing on Russian language lingvoculturology and teaching Russian as a foreign language.
