ადიქციის კვლევების მიმართულებით ასოცირებული პროფესორი.
ირმა კირთაძე – ექიმი, საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის დოქტორი – 2006 წელს დაამთავრა თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო აკადემია და მიიღო ფსიქიატრის კვალიფიკაცია. 2005-2008 წლებში ერაზმუსის (Erasmus MC, როტერდამი) და ამსტერდამის უნივერსიტეტებში სწავლობდა საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის, წამალდამოკიდებულების რაოდენობრივ და თვისებრივ კვლევებს. მიღებული აქვს ევროპული (Global Addiction) და ამერიკული (CPDD) სამეცნიერო საზოგადოების პრიზი, საუკეთესო, საერთაშორისო, სამეცნიერო აბსტრაქტისთვის/პოსტერისთვის. 2014 წელს მიიღო გამორჩეული საერთაშორისო სამეცნიერო თანამშრომლობის (DISCA) ჯილდო, რომლის ფარგლებშიც გაიარა კვლევითი სტაჟირება ჩრდილოეთ კაროლინას უნივერსიტეტის წამალდამოკიდებულების სამკურნალო პროგრამის – „ჰორიზონტის“ ბაზაზე. ასევე არის სხვადასხვა დროს ახალგაზრდა ფსიქიატრის და ახალგაზრდა მეცნიერის ჯილდოს მიმღები ფსიქიატრთა მსოფლიო ასოციაციისგან (WPA), ჯანმოს (WHO) და დამოკიდებულების მედიცინის საერთაშორისო საზოგადოებისგან (ISAM). 2018 წელს დაამთავრა ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის დოქტორანტურა და მიიღო საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის დოქტორის ხარისხი. აქვს ნივთიერებებზე დამოკიდებულების დარგში კლინიკური, ეპიდემიოლოგიური და ქცევითი კვლევების წარმოების მრავალწლიანი გამოცდილება. არის ოცდაათზე მეტი პუბლიკაციის ავტორი და ან თანაავტორი. აქვს ნარკოტიკების ინექციური მომხმარებლებისთვის აივ/შიდსის, ჰეპატიტებისა და სხვა სისხლით გადამდები დაავადებების პრევენციული პროგრამების – დაგეგმვის, იმპლემენტაციისა და შეფასების გამოცდილება. ჩართულია ზიანის შემცირებისა და მედიკამენტით მხარდაჭერილი მკურნალობის ეკონომიკურ (ღირებულება, ხარჯ-სარგებლიანობა, დანახარჯები) კვლევებში, ამავე მიმართულებით გაიდლაინებისა და პროტოკოლების შედგენაში. იგი არის კანაფის გლობალური კვლევის კონსორციუმის მკვლევარი. განსაკუთრებული ინტერესის სფეროა სამედიცინო კანაფი და მისი გამოყენება მედიცინაში.
