Born on May 26, 1968 in Tbilisi. In 1990 graduated from Tbilisi Academy of Arts, worked at the Institute of Georgian Art History of Georgian Academy of Sciences, in 1997 defended the PhD thesis of the medieval Georgian architectural schools (Javakheti). Since 1991 he has been teaching lectures at State Academy of Art, Theatre and Firm Institute, Theological Academy, Free University and Ilia State University. He was a member of several international scientific societies. In 2004 – 2012 Nikoloz vacheishvili was Deputy Minister, First Deputy Minister and Minister of Culture, Monument Protection and Sport of Georgia.  2013 is a professor of Free and Agrarian universities, from 2014 full Professor of Ilia State University. Director and later scientific consultant of Cultural Heritage and Environment Research Center .
