Nino Mamradze completed her undergraduate studies in classical piano at Moscow State Tchaikovsky Coservatory in 1977 (class of prof. Jacob Zak). She got her postgraduate degree from the same conservatory (with distinction) in 1981 (supervisor
prof. Lev Vlasenko). From 1979 till 1993 Nino leads an active concert life as a soloist of Georgian State Philharmonic and a teacher. In 1993 she is invited by the Cairo Academy of Arts as a classical music expert. She spends the next ten years of her life in Egypt, teaching at the said institution, at Educational Development Centre of the Cairo Opera House, and
leading a busy concert life as a soloist and accompanist. In 2004 Nino returns to Georgia and from this time to 2008 she lectures at Tbilisi State Conservatory. From 2005 to 2011 she heads №1 Central Music School for musically gifted children. At the same time she is actively participating in the reform of musical education in secondary schools, developing the main directions and new programs. In 2009 Nino Mamradze together with prof. Marina Adamia established a Music Centre
at Ilia State University where she teaches the art of piano at BA and PhD levels.
Nino’s particular interests lie in the methodology of teaching music at various levels. She is also very keen on developing and strengthening Early Music performance traditions in Georgia (particularly the music of Renaissance and Baroque periods), as well as performance practices of Contemporary music.

In 1969 Nino Mamradze became the winner of the South Caucasus Music Competition. Apart from perfoming, she actively taught at all levels. Nino is known as a real professional, goal orientated person, who has a clear and progressive strategic vision. As a director of special music school she was pivotal in implementing important changes in teaching methods, programms, and infrastructure of the school. With her efforts the school improved its academic achievemnts and widened schools international contacts. She introduced new directions in music such as jazz studies, established a string quartet, a chamber orchestra, classical and traditional music choires, and many more. She invited well-known foreign and Georgian
musicians from abroad to do workshops and tutorials with pupils. It was thanks to these measures that the school was highly succesful in many its recent projects.
