Tamar Bregvadze  is an Associate Professor of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Ilia State University, research coordinator/national project manager of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) in Georgia and research coordinator for the National Assessment and Evaluation Center of Georgia (NAEC). She is a member of the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts (European University Association/Erasmus+ Georgia), a member of the National Council of Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions and a former board member of the Network of Education Policy Centers (Zagreb, Croatia).

Tamar Bregvadze holds PhD in education (Ilia State University, Georgia). An overarching theme of her research is quality management in education. She has worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and as a researcher in local and international research teams on projects related to various aspects of general and higher education, such as science management, higher education curriculum development, higher education internationalization and organizational development of education institutions.
