Position:Associate Professor
Natia Andguladze is an associate professor at Ilia State University School of Education. She is also affiliated with the National Assessment and Examination Center (NAEC). At NAEC, Natia works on national and international assessments and other research projects in the area of teacher appraisal and school evaluation. Natia previously held the position of Head of Research Division at the Ministry of Education and Science. She holds Phd in Education from Ilia State University and Master of Education from Harvard University. During the last ten years, Natia has co-authored various national education sector policy review projects and participated in national education sector and sub-sector strategy development initiaties together with colleagues from the Ministry of Education and Science and international and bilateral agencies.
Dr. Andguladze’s current research projects are Public Perceptions of Equity and Fainess in Education in a Post-Soviet Society, and Building School Evaluation Culture: interaction of external pressures, support, and school culture. Her current research interests are concentrated around application of educational assessment in education governance and administration and cultural and structural aspects of equity in education.
