ასოცირებული პროფესორი, ჯანდაცვის მიმართულებით
გიორგი გოცაძე არის ჯანდაცვის პოლიტიკისა და სისტემების მკვლევარი-სპეციალისტი, 60-მდე ქვეყანში და მსოფლიოს სხვადასხვა კონტინენტზე მუშაობის პრაქტიკული გამოცდილებით. მან 1989 წელს წარჩინებით დაამთავრა თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო ინსტიტუტი სპეციალობით – სამკურნალო საქმე. 1993 წელს დაიცვა დისერტაცია და მიენიჭა მედიცინის მეცნიერებათა კანდიდატის ხარისხი. 1989-1993 წლებში მუშაობდა აკად. კ.ვ.ჩაჩავას სახელობის პერინატალური მედიცინისა და მეანობა-გინეკოლოგიის ინსტიტუტში. 1994-1996 წლებში ხელმძღვანელობდა სამედიცინო ჰუმანიტარულ მისიებს საქართველოში, ყაზახეთში, ლიბერიასა და სიერა-ლეონეში. 1996 წლიდან ხელმძღვანელობს ქართულ არასამთავრობო ორგანიზაციას – საერთაშორისო ფონდ „კურაციოს“ – რომელიც უკვე 25 წელზე მეტია მოღვაწეობს ჯანდაცვის პოლიტიკისა და სისტემების სფეროში მსოფლიოს სხვადასხვა ქვეყანაში. 2015 წლის 1 მარტიდან, საერთაშორისო ფონდი კურაციო წარმოადგენს ჯანდაცვის სისტემების გაძლიერებაზე ორიენტირებული პირველი საერთაშორისო ორგანიზაციის – გლობალური ჯანდაცვის სისტემების (HSG) სამდივნოს ხოლო ბატონი გიორგი გოცაძე ამ ორგანიზაციის აღმასრულებელი დირექტორია.
2009 წლიდან ბატონი გიორგი ექვსი წლის მანძილზე იყო აივ ინფექციის/შიდსის, ტუბერკულოზისა და მალარიის წინააღმდეგ ბრძოლის გლობალური ფონდის ტექნიკურ ექსპერტთა პანელის თავჯდმოარის მოადგილე. ხოლო 2017 წლიდან იგი არის ამავე ორგანიზაციის ტექნიკური შეფასების რეფერენს ჯგუფის წევრი.
გიორგი გოცაძე 2002-2006 წლებში იყო თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის ჯანდაცვის მენეჯმენტის ფაკულტეტია მოწვეული ლექტორი, ხოლო 2008 -2015 წლებში თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო უნივერსიტეტის საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის საერთაშორისო სკოლის მოწვეული ლექტორი.
გიორგი გოცაძე არის 30 სამეცნიერო სტატიის, 7 წიგნისა და რამოდენიმე ათეული ტექნიკური ნაშრომის ავტორი.
