Nino Guliashvili completed a full Bachelor’s academic course at Tbilisi Ilia Chavchavadze State University of Language and Culture in 2004 majoring in Pedagogy of English Language. In 2006 she was awarded a Master’s Degree with honors by Ilia Chavchavadze State University, the faculty of Philology of Foreign Languages specializing in Theory and Practice of English Language Teaching. Funded by TEMPUS program in 2011, she was a visiting doctoral researcher at University of Glasgow designing the doctoral thesis and scientific research under expert co-supervision. In 2018 she defended the doctoral dissertation – “Representation of Gender Identity in Media Discourse (Based on the local English-Language Newspaper Coverage of 2008 Russo-Georgian War)” and was conferred the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Philology by Ilia State University, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
In 2007-2021 Nino Guliashvili worked at Ilia State University as an invited lecturer of English Language and the Team Leader at the faculty of Arts and Sciences, Bachelor’s level. Since 2008 she has been an invited specialist/assessor of applicants’ essays and teachers’ speaking skill at the National Assessment and Examinations Center. In 2019-2021 she worked as an invited lecturer at Caucasus University, School of Humanities and Social Sciences to deliver the following courses at Bachelor’s level: Academic English for Psychologists and Academic English for Philologists.
