Computer Sciences,Assistant Professor

From 2004 to 2008, Gvantsa Mchedlidze studied physics at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, in the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences. She then pursued graduate studies in particle physics at the Institute of High Energy Physics of TSU, focusing on top quarks rare decays via flavor-changing neutral currents at the ATLAS detector (CERN, LHC). She earned her master’s degree in 2010. Since 2007, Mchedlidze has been a key member of the Georgian group working on the ATLAS experiment, contributing to experimental data analysis and physical process modeling. She has been listed as an author of the ATLAS experiment since 2009. In 2018, Mchedlidze completed her PhD in particle physics at the University of Göttingen, Germany, with research centered on top quark physics at the ATLAS experiment. From 2018 to 2020, she worked as a data scientist in the cybersecurity department at TBC Bank, where she developed an anomaly detection system for network events. Since 2022, she has been a senior data scientist/engineer at Ozorix LLC, leading the development of machine learning and AI-based automated systems for various industries in Europe and the United States. In 2023, she joined Ilia State University as a lecturer and became an assistant professor in 2024.
