ასოცირებული პროფესორი ეკოლოგიისა და უხერხემლო ცხოველთა ზოოლოგიის მიმართულებით
დოქტ. ლევან მუმლაძემ 2013 წელს დაიცვა სადოქტორო დისერტაცია თემაზე: „საქართველოს ხმელეთის მოლუსკების მრავალფეროვნება და გეოგრაფიული განაწილება“. 2003-2008 წლებში მუშაობდა ზოოლოგიის ინსტიტუტში ჯერ ლაბორანტად, შემდეგ – მეცნიერ-თანამშრომლად. 2007-2010 წლებში იყო ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის სიცოცხლის შემსწავლელ მეცნიერებათა ფაკულტეტის დეკანის თანაშემწე. 2011-2015 წლებში მუშაობდა ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის ეკოლოგიისა და ზოოლოგიის ინსტიტუტებში ასოცირებულ მკვლევრად. 2015 წლიდან ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის ასისტენტ-პროფესორია, ხოლო 2018 წლიდან ამავე უნივერსიტეტის ასოცირებული პროფესორი. 2019 წლიდან მუშაობს ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის ზოოლოგიის ინსტიტუტის დირექტორის თანამდებობაზე. 2022 წლიდან ბიომრავალფეროვნების შესახებ სამეცნიერო ჟურნალ„კავკასიანას“ (https://caucasiana.pensoft.net/) მთავარი რედაქტორია.
