Giga Khositashvili

Assistant Professor in Academic Writing

Giga Khositashvili holds a PhD in Education and is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business, Technology, and Education at Ilia State University. His research interests include education policy, academic integrity, and technology-enhanced learning. He holds a Master’s degree in Information Management from Ilia State University and has also studied in the Master’s program in New Media and Knowledge Management at Tallinn University.

Since 2011, Giga Khositashvili has been teaching different courses at Ilia State University within undergraduate general modules, the Medicine program (Academic Skills – ENG), the Master’s program in Educational Administration, as well as in Primary Education and Teacher Preparation programs. Since 2015, he has completed multiple training programs in modern teaching methodologies at Paris Diderot University, KU Leuven, the University of Vienna, FH Joanneum Graz, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and the University of Maribor. As part of academic mobility programs, he has also delivered lectures at Copenhagen University College, Uppsala University, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and the University of Valladolid.

He is actively involved in capacity building projects funded by the Erasmus+ program (INTEGRITY, PRINTEL, ETHICS, DITECH, PRODIGE, LOVEDISTANCE), focusing on academic integrity, the development of distance learning, and research ethics. In 2022, he was awarded a doctoral research grant by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
