Position:Associate Professor
Darejan Japaridze was enrolled in the faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 1977 and graduated in 1982 with honors. Since then, she has been working at the Georgian Evgeni Kharadze National Astrophysical Observatory. She defended her dissertation “Investigation of Solar Differential Rotation by Analyzing the Rotation Rates of Hydrogen Filaments” and was awarded the Ph.D degree in 1998.
In 2010-2014, Darejan Japaridze was an Assistant Professor of the School of Natural Sciences and Engineering at Ilia State University. She has been an Associate Professor of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine of Ilia State University since 2015.
Darejan Japaridze is the co-author of more than 50 scientific publications. She has participated in international conferences and expeditions for observations of a total solar eclipse. She also took part in the projects financed by the International funds. Since 2014 she is a member of the editorial board of the international scientific journal “Sun and Geosphere”.
