Marika Megrelishvili obtained her MD at the Perm State Medical Academy in Perm, Russia in 1998 and continued her postgraduate education in Neurology at the Clinic of Nervous Disiease of Moscow Medical Academy in Moscow, Russia. She participated in professional training activities in different countries, including the NIH in Bethesda Maryland, USA; the Redboud University, Nijmegen, Netherland etc. In 2016 she obtained her PhD in Medicine/ Neurology at Ilia State University. During her professional carrier she successfully integrates clinical practice, teaching and research activities. She is the co-founder of two professional associations: Georgian Society for Parkinsonism and Extrapyramidal Disorders and Georgian Society for Pharmacovigilance.
