ასოცირებული პროფესორი, საჯარო სამართლის მიმართულებით





გიორგი მელაძეს ადგილობრივსა და საერთაშორისო სამართლებრივ ინსტიტუციებთან ურთიერთობის მდიდარი გამოცდილება აქვს. საქართველოში აქტიურად მონაწილეობდა პარლამენტთან და მთავრობასთან არსებულ სამართლებრივი რეფორმის ჯგუფებში საკონსტიტუციო, სისხლის სამართლის, ადამიანის ძირითადი უფლებების და ანტიკორუფციული მიმართულებით. 2002-2003 წლებში კვლევითი პროგრამის ფარგლებში იმყოფებოდა კოლუმბიის უნივერსიტეტში, 2004 წელს კვლევითი პროექტის ფარგლებში მუშაობდა გამოხატვის თავისუფლების დაცვის საერთაშორისო ორგანიზაციაში Article 19, 2008-2012 წლებში, აქტიური წევრის უფლებამოსილებით, მონაწილეობდა ევროპის საბჭოს ეროვნულ უმცირესობათა ჩარჩოკონვენციის ფარგლებში შექმნილ მრჩეველთა საბჭოში და მოამზადა მოხსენებები სლოვაკეთის, პოლონეთისა და ჰოლანდიის შესახებ. 2004 წლიდან ასწავლის საქართველოს სხვადასხვა სახელმწიფო და კერძო უმაღლესი საგანმანათლებლო დაწესებულებების სამართლის ფაკულტეტზე. მისი რედაქციით გამოცემული წიგნი „რელიგიის თავისუფლება“ სხვადასხვა უნივერსიტეტი სამართლის ფაკულტეტზე გამოიყენება ძირითად სახელმძღვანელოდ. ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის სამართლის სკოლის კონსტიტუციური კვლევების დირექტორია 2013 წლიდან. ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის სამართლის სკოლის ასოცირებული პროფესორია 2014 წლიდან.
