Assistant Professor Tinatin Kighuradze works on Georgian as a second language and German language teacher training programs, delivers lectures in linguistics in German studies programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
In 2010-2017 she was engaged in the development and management of the Georgian Language Preparation and Integration Programme, including the development of new materials and the training of new staff for the programme.

Her current field of interest, along with teaching Georgian as a second/foreign language and German, is Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL).
In 2013-2016, she was involved in the creation of an old and modern Georgian language learning online platform within the framework of a project funded by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
In 2012-2016, The TEMPUS-DIMTEGU project was involved in the development of a multilingual learning teacher programme and master’s degree courses.

In 2014-2017 she was an expert and consultant of Georgian as a second language at the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, where she worked to improve the quality of Georgian language teaching in non-Georgian schools and provided long-term training to Georgian language teachers in non-Georgian schools in blended (online + face-to-face) format.

In 2009-2016, she was involved in various projects of the Ministry of Education, including the project “Irbakh”, within the framework of which she authored and co-authored methodological and learning textbooks based on new methods in the field of Georgian as a foreign language.
