Tamar Chanukvadze was born in Tbilisi. T. Chanukvade is a graduate of Tbilisi State Institute of Foreign Languages and a postgraduate, an aspirant, of Moscow Moris Torez Pedagogical University with diploma of candidate of philology. The title of her research is “Stylistic Functions of Phraseological Units in Travelogues”. Currently Tamar works as an English language teacher and coordinator of Anglistics, providing students and lecturers with exam materials, tests and readers. She holds the academic position of assistant professor at School of Arts and Sciences. Tamar has an experience in reviewing books and MA papers.

Tamar Chanukvadze works for Refugee Integration Center “Open House”, created by the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG) in partnership with UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). She works and volunteers with refugees, asylum seekers and humanitarian status holders. She runs Georgian language classes for English speakers and English language classes for Russian speakers. T. Chanukvadze is a member of doctorate and master exam commission and thesis defence commission. She is an organizer of the event “English, English and always English”. She was involved as a translator in the U.S. department funded AEIF project “Ensuring Education Access and Employment Opportunities for Prison Youth in Georgia.
