Position:Associate Professor





Aleksandre holds the PhD degree in Economics from Tbilisi State University (TSU). His PhD thesis evaluates impact of exchange rate on macroeconomic environment.  Aleksandre also holds the Master’s Degree of Economics from the International School of Economics (ISET) and the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration from TSU. Since 2012, Aleksandre teaches courses in Microeconomics, Statistics and Econometrics at Ilia State University. He was also invited lecturer at International Black Sea University.  Since 2012, Aleksandre works at National Bank of Georgia. During 2012-2016 years, he was working in Macroeconomic Research division, but since 2017 he occupies  a chief specialist position in Financial Stability Analysis department. He has also participated in various research projects and had undertaken professional development courses in topics concerning financial stability, macroeconomic modelling, macroeconomic and macro prudential policy.
