Marika Kirvalidze graduated from Ilia State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She obtained a Master’s degree from the same university in 2013 and was awarded a Doctoral degree in Education in 2024. Her dissertation topic was “Factors Affecting Teacher Collaboration in Georgian General Education Schools.”

She has been working in the field of general education since 2014 and has been involved in higher education since 2016. She is an expert in general education quality assurance and higher education program accreditation at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. She is also a general education expert within the Teacher Professional Development and School Support Program at the Teacher Professional Development National Center.

She is the author of several publications and actively participates in local and international conferences dedicated to general and higher education issues.

She has been working at Ilia State University since 2016, initially as an invited lecturer and, since 2026, as an Assistant Professor.

As a researcher, expert, and trainer, Marika Kirvalidze has been actively involved in local and international projects since 2013, including EU-funded international projects.
