Was born in 1968. MA in Classical Studies. 1992-2008 he used to work at the Tbilisi State University as a research assistant, Head of the S. Kaukhchishvili Greek-Latin Library. 2005-2008 he was a Head of Department of Journalism. He delivered lectures in Classical Studies and Journalism disciplines. Since 2008 he works at Ilia University as an Assistant-Professor till 2013 and a Full Professor afterwards. He delivers lectures in Journalism. Starting from 1992 he has a different experience of working as a journalist: presenter at Public Broadcaster of pre-election debates (TV programme “Rating”); correspondent, Deputy Chief Editor and a Chief Editor at the newspaper “Georgian Times”; Chief Editor at the newspaper “Argument”. In the period of 1996-2006 he worked as a correspondent of the Radio Free Europe – Radio Liberty in Georgia. 1998-2001 he was a TV talk-show presenter at “Studio RE” (2nd channel of the Public Broadcaster). Starting from April 2006 till now he works at the Public Broadcaster Radio as a presenter and a co-producer of daily social-political programme “Peak Hours”. 2009-2013 author and presenter of TV political talk-show at the Public Broadcaster “Dialog with David Paitchadze”. At Tabula TV in 2013-2015 he was an author, producer and presenter of the programme “Vanity Fair”, covering topics related to art, education, urban development etc. He started to teach Georgian Language and Literature in 2015 September at Newton Free School. From 1990 he regularly co-operated with OSGF and Eurasia Partnership Foundation as a member of different boards. Nearly at the same time he started to write and publish articles on literature, media, civil and human rights and others in different media and continues this work until now. Many times he was invited to work as a trainer with beginner journalists. He is married and has got two daughters.
