Salome Danelia has been awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Economics at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. She has obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Faculty of Economics and Business of the same university.
In 2020, she completed a master’s executive program at the Riga Graduate School of Law and Economy, in 2016, a professional program – CPPA (Certified Public Policy Analyst), Free University/ University of North Texas. In 2013, an executive program on increasing the professional capabilities of civil servants in decision-making and negotiation was completed at the Diplomatic School of Estonia.
Salome has 12 years of successful work experience in governmental institutions, international donor organizations and private companies in a leading position.
Experience is related to public finance planning and management, project development management, risk assessment and monitoring, investment project evaluation and business project development. She has conducted research projects for such international donor organizations as USAID, Asian Development Bank, The World Bank.
Since 2016, Salome has been lecturing at Ilia State University, and since 2023, she has been an invited expert in the field of international trade at the World Bank and head of business development at Silk Road Consulting. From 2014 to 2023, she headed the Subsidy and Production Management Department at the Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection, from 2015 to 2018, she was the head of the Public Policy Research Department. In 2014, she worked as a feasibility study expert (economic research and analysis of projects financed by the World Bank) in the Strategic Development Service of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia/Municipal Development Fund of Georgia in 2014. Salome has published a number of articles in various scientific and popular journals.
