Irakli Salukvadze graduated from the Technical University of Georgia in 2013 and was awarded a bachelor’s degree in engineering in the direction of highway and airfield construction. In the same university, in 2015, he was awarded the academic degree of Master in Construction.  In 2018, he defended the thesis for the academic title of doctor with the work “Research and realization of the properties of compact concrete with additives based on local building materials on highways”.  He has participated in international and local conferences. He has published scientific articles in various international and local journals. Author of one scientific-grant-winning project and co-author of two scientific-grant-winning projects (in the Georgian National Science Foundation of Shota Rustaveli Research Institute).
From 2012-2019, he was an invited expert in the educational scientific-research center of the Faculty of Construction of Georgian Technical University in the field of technical expertise of buildings. From 2014-2018, he was an engineer at the Faculty of Construction, an educational scientific and expert laboratory. From 2018-2019, he held the position of senior engineer in the same laboratory. From 2015-2019, he worked as an invited teacher at the Faculty of Construction, Engineering Mechanics, and Construction Technical Expertise Department of the Technical University of Georgia. Since 2022, he has been an associate professor at Ilia State University, the head of engineering laboratories in the field of civil engineering, and a visiting professor at San Diego State University-Georgia. From 2020-2021, Irakli Salukvadze was the head of the department of administration and proceedings of the Faculty of Business, Technology, and Education of Ilia State University. From 2021 to the present, he is the deputy dean of the Faculty of Business, Technology, and Education and at the same time a member of the higher education sectoral council of construction engineering of the National Center for the Development of Education Quality.
