Direction:Computer Sciences
Position:Full Professor
Erekle Maghradze graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, Department of Applied Mathematics in 2006. In 2009 he obtained a master’s degree in computer science from Sokhumi State University. The subject of his research was the creation of decision-making systems using statistical methods and fuzzy set theory.
Since 2007 he has also been involved in the work of the Georgian team at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) ATLAS Experiment (CERN) from the High Energy Physics Institute.
In 2007-2009, he organized a distributed computing cluster for the Georgian group of the ATLAS Experiment, which was used to generate simulated data for the ATLAS Experiment and to analyze experimental data, which was impossible to do on a single computing server.
He was also involved in the establishment of the Tier 3 Center in Georgia under the ISTC grant.
In 2015, as part of the ATLAS experiment group, he successfully completed his doctoral program at The University of Göttingen and received his Physics PhD in Computational Physics.
From 2015 to 2016, he worked at the Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) – in particular, he was involved in a project to study the potential of small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The project aimed to study the production data collected by small and medium-sized businesses and determine whether this data enabled the optimization of the production process. As part of this project he was actively working on forecasting, segmentation and customer behavior analysis.
From 2016 to 2018, he worked for Recogizer Group GmbH as head of the DevOps group and big data groups. During his time at the company, he led the development and implementation of collecting, processing and management of sensor data collection from small devices on local infrastructure (without the use of commercial, cloud infrastructure). He was also involved in the development of fuzzy set approaches in combination with Reinforcment Learning. Since 2018, Erekle Maghradze joined Computer and Electrical Engineering field at Ilia State University. Since 2020, he has also led an English-language bachelor’s program in Computer Sciences; He is the Director of Engineering at MaxinAI and is actively involved in the delivery of machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions to a variety of industries in both the European and American markets.
