Ekaterine Tevdoradze graduated from Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University(with honours), Faculty of Biomedical Ecological Genetics in 1998, Master Degree in Biology and Genetics. In 1998-2002 she has continued study as a Post Graduate student at the same University (TSU), specialisation- Microbiology. In 2001-2015 she has continued her research career at the G. Eliava institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology, was engaged in Bacteriophage research. In 2007-2013 she was PhD student at the department of Molecular Biology, at the Ilia State University. In 2013 she got Doctor’s degree in Life Sciences, at the Ilia State University (ISU), School of Natural Sciences and Engineering, Tbilisi, Georgia. Since 2016 Ekaterine is Associate Professor of Ilia State University.
In frame of program of Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Ekaterine has received qualification of Biosafety Officer and working permission at Biosafety Level-3 Laboratory(BSL3).
The main field of research – study of antibiotic resistance mechanisms of pathogenic microorganisms; Molecular mechanisms of phage-bacteria interaction .
