Onisime Tskhomelidze holds a Ph.D. in Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), an LL.M. from the University of Edinburgh, an LL.M. in International Law from TSU, and a bachelor’s degree in Law from TSU.

Since 2020, Onisime has held the position of Legal Advisor at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Prior to this, he worked as a Detention Field Officer at the ICRC from 2019 to 2020. From 2016 to 2018, he was the “Refugees and Migration” Program Director at the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG), having previously worked as a lawyer for the same program from 2014 to 2015.

In terms of his academic contributions and teaching experience, Onisime has been delivering lectures on Public International Law as an invited lecturer at the University of Georgia since 2019. He also served as an invited lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Tbilisi State University from 2019 to 2022. He has published academic works in the fields of International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Law and has conducted numerous public lectures for students, practicing lawyers, and civil servants.

Onisime is a member of the Georgian Bar Association (holding a general specialization license), a registered assistant to counsel at the International Criminal Court (ICC), and an associate member of the ICC Bar Association.
