Giga Khositashvili is a PhD Candidate in  Education at Ilia State University. His scientific research is related to the aspects of academic integrity in Georgian higher educational institutions. He has a Master’s degree in Information Management (Ilia State University) and studied at the Tallinn University on Master’s program – New Media and Knowledge Environment.

Since 2011, he has been working as a guest teacher at Ilia State University. Since 2014, he has been teaching the course “Techniques of Academic Working” and “Academic Skills” (ENG) at the Center for Academic Writing. Within the MA program of education administration, he leads the course “Online learning and technology in education”. Since 2015, he has taken several training courses in innovative teaching methods at Paris Diderot, Louvain, Vienna, Graz, Barcelona and Maribor universities. Within the framework of Erasmus + teaching mobility, he gave lectures at Copenhagen University College; Uppsala University; Autonomous Universities of Barcelona and University of Valladolid.

At various times, as a researcher and teacher, he was involved in Erasmus + capacity building projects: Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Georgian Higher Education Institution (INTEGRITY); Change in the Classroom: Encouraging Innovative Teaching and Learning to Improve Student Learning Experiences in Eastern Partnership Countries (PRINTEL); Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS) and others.

In 2022, he obtained funding from the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation to carry out his doctoral research.
