Ekaterine Slovinsky has been working in the field of general education since 1996 and has been involved in university education since 2014. Her research interests focus on science and technology education and teachers’ professional development. Before university, she worked on developing the National Curriculum and led the direction of mathematics, natural sciences, and technology at the Ministry of Education and Science. She is experienced working with both the public and the private educational sectors. At the university, she performed as a researcher in several international projects funded by the European Union.
She has a doctoral degree in Education from Ilia State University. Her thesis topic is “The role of Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE) at General Education Schools in Georgia.” She earned a master’s degree in biology from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
She is the author of several publications; Currently, she researches students’ interest in science education under the international project “ROSE Second.”
