Sofia Lebanidze graduated Tbilisi Technical University in 2003 as a Master degree owner in the specialty of in International Economic Relations. From the mentioned period of time she has start working in the healthcare sector, where she gathered 13-year working experience. During her carrier she was working in the area of: healthcare policy, administration, financing, regulations and etc. She is experience to work in a various areas of sector as a public servant, expert and private business administrator. Working practice with international and donor organizations is additional area of her competence. She is experienced to work in the area of planning, implementation and monitoring. From 2008 she started her academic practices as a guest speaker, trainer and lecturer, with various stakeholders who were involved or interested in healthcare system. Besides she also was very active in the area of independent consultancy work.
In 2012 Sofia Lebanidze was admitted to the Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public affairs as an Executive Master of Public Administration to ensure her further professional and academic development. During her academic development she gathered additional competence and certificates in Health Services Management and Policies and Leadership in International and Non-Governmental Organizations.
Currently she is working in healthcare sector as a high level administrator in private business and also is actively involved in academic sphere of education.
