Nino Mirzikashvili was born in 1978 in Tbilisi. In 1995 he graduated from 61st Secondary School at Tbilisi with honors and in the same year she enrolled in Tbilisi State Medical University, Faculty of Preventive Medicine. He graduated from TSMU in 2001 and started work as a social worker at M. Iashvili Central Clinical Hospital in the same year. In 2001-2004, Nino studied Public Health at TSMU on post graduate level. In 2004 he moved to work as a researcher at the Curatio International Foundation. In 2004, Nino received a scholarship from the British Government and Soros Foundation and went to study in the UK. In 2005, Nino Mirzikashvili graduated from the University of Warwick, she got Master’s degree in Public Health. The following year, Nino again received a scholarship from the British government and continued her studies in public administration at the London School of Economics and Political Science. In 2005, Nino did an internship at the Department of Health in the UK for 3 months.
In 2006, Nino Mirzikashvili returned to Georgia and used to work at USAID funded international project. In the following years, Nino worked on various international projects as a health policy expert.
From 2007 to 2012, Nino Mirzikashvili worked at the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs as the Head of the Regulation Department, the Head of the International Relations Department and the Head of the Ministry’s Office.
Nino is currently an expert on the UNDP, a national consultant of the UNICEF, and a member of the Executive Board of the Open Society Georgia Foundation.
Nino has been engaged in academic activities since 2004. As an invited lecturer, he taught at the Aieti Medical Institute, TSU Faculty of Medicine, TSMU School of Public Health, and the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs.
Nino has participated in many international conferences and trainings.
