Was born on September 15th 1964. Graduated from Tbilisi public scool #101 in 1987. Studied at Tbilisi State Medical University from 1981 to 1987.  Underwent residency from 1987 to 1989 in cardiology at State Institute of Postgraduate Education. 1989-1994 started work as a doctor of Intensive care unit at City Hospital #1. Confered a degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences in 1991. 1994-1997 yy was appointed as a head of Diagnostic Department in Hospital #2. Confered a degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences in 1997. 2003 y became a professor of cardiology. Has been working as a head of Tbilisi Heart and Vascular Clinic since 1994. Has published over 90 medical articles and 5 textbooks. Married with two children. 2012 y was awarded The Order of Honour.
