During the last ten years beginning in 2005, Mr. Kublashvili served as a Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia and ex-officio Chairman of High Council of Justice of Georgia.

Prior to 2005, Mr. Kublashvili acquired sound experience in public and private sectors having had different positions. Namely, In 2004 he was appointed to a position of the Director of the President’s Development and Reforms Foundation. During 2002-2004 Mr. Kublasvhili was a lawyer at a Law Firm Georgian Lawyers for Justice. During 2000-2002 he served as the First Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia and the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Justice. From 1997-1998 Mr. Kublashvili held a position of the Head of the Office of Legal Expertise and Alignment of Bills of the Legal Department of the Parliament of Georgia. Prior to 1997 he worked for the Legal department of the Parliament of Georgia (1996-1997) and as the lawyer at the Central Election Commission (1995)

Mr. Kublashvili graduated from Tbilisi State University in 1995 the faculty of International Law and International Relations. In 1995 he was a student the Legal Faculty of Saarland University, Germany followed with a diploma thesis on the principles of German Federalism. During 1998-2000 he was a Post-Graduate Student at the University of Hannover, Germany. In 2000 Mr. Kublashvili acquired the scientific degree of LL.D (Dr. Jur).

Is author of the numerous scientific works, publications, textbooks regarding the states’ territorial arrangements and basic human rights.

Between 2014-2017 he was a member of Academic Board of ISU. Since 2015 he is a full time professor at ISU, Head of Public Law and Politics Magister program, is director of Judiciary Efficiency and Legal Education Center.

Is married, has one daughter.
