In 1996 Nino Mataradze graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with a BA in Philology (specialisation – Anglistics). In 1998 she earned MA in Philology from the same university.  In 1997 Nino Mataradze obtained MPA from the Georgian Institute of Public Administration (GIPA). In 2005 she received PhD in Philology from Ilia Chavchavadze University of Language and Culture (now Ilia State University). From 2001 to 2009 she worked as English language teacher at the Department of the English Language/Language Centre at Ilia Chavchavadze University of Language and Culture. Since 2010, Nino Mataradze is an Associate Professor at Ilia State University.

From 2009 to 2014 she worked at Tbilisi City Hall as Vice-Mayor’s Chief of Staff  (2009-2010) and Head of the Department of International Relations (2010-2014).
